Member Sarah

My name is Sarah, and I am the founder and owner of Speech With Sarah SLP. I moved to Ridgewood from Manhattan this past December, and am thrilled to be part of this wonderful community! I have a nine-month-old baby girl named Ellie, and an 11-year-old fur baby named Lilly. We love going for walks around town and meeting new people. 

I began my professional career in marketing, and quickly realized that my passion truly lies in helping others, especially children. I received speech and language services as a child, so that seemed like a natural fit. After going back to school for my Master’s degree in Communication Disorders I began working in private special education schools throughout Manhattan. I then decided to open my own practice in Manhattan so that I could focus all of my attention on each individual child and their families, and ensure that I was providing the highest quality of care possible. Having my own practice has been so rewarding, and now that I am in Ridgewood, I am so excited to reestablish my practice here.

I work with kids from 12 months all the way to 18 years where I provide in-home and in-school sessions- which means less running around for the families! Some of the areas I treat are articulation/speech sounds, vocabulary, reading comprehension, writing skills, social skills, and reading/decoding. Each session is completely individualized so I can target your child’s specific goals, while incorporating their unique interests- making sessions as effective, engaging, and fun as possible!
